Lowell Ketron, MD

A man in white lab coat and orange tie.Lowell Ketron, MD is a native Texan and a lifelong Fightin’Texas Aggie. He is an interventional and general cardiologistand is board-certified in Cardiovascular Diseases and Internal Medicine from the American Board of Medical Specialties. He is also board-eligible for Interventional Cardiology subspecialty through the ABMS, is a member of the Texas Medical Association as well as the Montgomery County Medical Society,and is also an Associate Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Ketron is in his second career after returning to school and training following a career as an exercise physiologist in Cardiac Rehabilitation and Wellness. He works with Healthy Living Heart and Vein, and his partners are Dr. Rajesh Ramineni.

Dr. Ketron was born and raised in Fredericksburg, Texas and graduated from Texas A&M University with his Bachelor of Science degree in 1999. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in St. Maarten in 2012. He completed his Internal Medicine residency, followed by a Chief Medical Resident and Junior Faculty appointment at Ascension St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan in 2016.

Dr. Ketron then completed his Cardiovascular Diseasesfellowship at the University of Tennessee College of Medicinein Chattanooga, Tennessee in 2019 before continuing his training in Interventional Cardiology at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center in Memphis, Tennessee in 2020. Dr. Ketron specializes in coronary and peripheral interventions, non-invasive imaging modalities, heart failure management, cardiac rehabilitation, and heart disease prevention. He cares for patients at the various hospitals in Huntsville, Conroe, and The Woodlands. His clinics are in Huntsville and Conroe.

He lives with his wife, of almost 22 years, and their twin 17 year-old sons in the Grand Harbor community on Lake Conroe. Dr. Ketron enjoys outdoor activities including barbecuing for friends and family, camping, hiking, hunting, fishing, ranchingback in Fredericksburg, exercising, and playing sports with his sons. He also likes to travel with his family and to attendconcerts and live sports events in his spare time.
